Ownership and domains
Updated October 13, 2026
Your website belongs to you
You own the completed custom website, including the original design and project-specific code we create for you, once the agreed startup and page-build fees are paid. Your supplied content remains yours to the extent you hold the rights. The signed project agreement records the ownership transfer. You do not need an active management subscription to retain that ownership.
Your domain is registered in your name
You are the domain registrant and retain control of the domain. We can help connect or acquire it with your approval. Domain registration and renewal responsibilities are recorded in your quote; registrar rules and renewal requirements continue to apply.
Premium domains and their costs
A premium domain is priced above standard registration by the registry or an existing owner. Examples include short, memorable names or sought-after words. A high price is not a promise of better traffic or search results. Some premium domains also carry higher renewal or transfer fees.
If you ask LuxDuxx to secure a premium domain, you pay the approved purchase price and any renewal, transfer, marketplace, escrow or acquisition-service charges. We identify known costs and obtain your written approval before proceeding. It is registered in your name; availability, seller agreement and transfer timing are not guaranteed.
Licensed materials
Stock media, fonts, open-source software and other third-party components retain their own licenses. These licenses are disclosed for the agreed project. You receive the rights needed to use the finished website under those terms; we cannot transfer rights a third-party owner has not granted.
Ending management
Your paid-for custom website and domain remain yours. We provide the agreed website files and client content for handoff, together with relevant dependency and license information. New hosting or migration assistance is separately scoped. Managed hosting ends as set out in the agreement. No ownership buyout is required.
Your content responsibilities
You approve website content before publication and are responsible for its accuracy, necessary permissions and professional disclosures. Tell us when information changes. These responsibilities do not waive either party’s duties imposed by law.
